It felt like I was in the candy store!
Maple Hardwood
Porcelain Tiles
Berber
Wrought Iron
Granite
Espresso Shaker Cabinets
Chalk White Shaker Cabinets
Travertine
Cooktop
Wall ovens
Listello
Glass tiles
Hands down, travertine tiles are the M&M peanuts. My fave.
I had so much fun! And MDH was such a wonderful husband. He just sat and "worked" with his laptop and left me alone with our designer. Once in awhile, he cheered (as if I needed more encouragement hahaha).

No ceilings, no walls
... but the subfloor for the main floor is done so I'm happy for now. For the curious, here are the parts of the main floor.
Want a bigger pic? Click this.
There's not much to see at the moment especially that the basement is now covered with the subfloor. But stepping on the different parts of the main subfloor, I can actually visualize which part of the house I'm on :)
Next week, we'll sit down with our designer to pick the colours and finishes. Can't wait.

Cheap Pleasures
Some of my cheap pleasures. I thought they're photogenic.
How was your weekend, everyone? Mine's been quiet. We've done the usual weekend chores and more - doing some prep work (mostly painting the staircase going to the basement) for the upcoming sale of our present house. We're putting it up for sale very, very soon.
We already have potential buyers and they've requested to be the first to view the house before we advertise it. The wife said she can actually picture themselves living in our present house and not to have to change anything, house paints included. I'm thinking, she might change her mind after seeing our son's Sponge Bob themed bedroom. It's a nice room but Sponge Bob* is an acquired taste :).
Sponge Bob (impressed at what Patrick has done): "Patrick, your genius is showing."
Patrick: "Huh!" (trying to cover the area where his private is)
*our son has outgrown SPonge Bob a looong time ago
